How the warning model works
The panel looks at the forecast for the next two days from the current GPS point. It is a practical attention filter, not an official navigation forecast.
- Green: moderate wind gusts, low rain probability and stable pressure.
- Yellow: gusts from 17 kn, rain probability above 40%, or noticeable pressure fall.
- Red: gusts from 30 kn or strong pressure fall. Rain is shown as an additional factor when forecasted.
- Purple: severe gusts from 40 kn or a sharp pressure fall with other worsening signals.
Use official forecasts, local notices and seamanship before every decision.
